HCA FLEUR ED

HCA FLEUR ED is a fire retardant transparent coating for indoor applications. In combination with HCA TR VARNISH transparent finish, HCA FLEUR ED is used to protect artificial (silk) plants and flowers by means of its intumescent effect. Materials treated with HCA FLEUR ED and HCA TR VARNISH comply with NEN EN ISO 6941 (TAfter flame < 15 s, TAfter glow < 60 s), DIN 4102 Class B2 and other comparable standards.

PROPERTIES

HCA FLEUR ED is a solvent-free, synthetic resin dispersion, with a slight odour. When the correct quantity is used, HCA FLEUR ED has little to no negative effects on the properties of the material. For better dust- and water resistance (no outdoor applications!) and to diminish the slight stickiness of treated plants the lacquer HCA TR VARNISH has to be applied on top of HCA FLEUR ED.

Materials that have been treated correctly comply with Standards like NEN EN ISO 6941 and DIN 4102 Class B2 (see TNO-report 007.82018/01.13.02).

HCA FLEUR ED is not resistant to water; treated plants cannot be cleaned with water. Not even after application of HCA TR VARNISH on top of HCA FLEUR ED. A follow-up treatment is necessary when treated material is cleaned with or otherwise got into contact with water. Therefore dry cleaning with a brush or feather duster is advised.
