FG SHEET

Flame Guard Sheet (FG Sheet) is an environment-friendly fire-resistant flexible sheet which consists of intumescent coating and aluminum foil. In case of fire or massive heat release FG Sheet will form a protective layer of thick charred foam Furthermore, the aluminum foil of FG Sheet will prevent the escape of gasses from organic building materials which are generated by the high temperature and which can accelerate the combustion.

PROPERTIES AND EFFECT

FG Sheet consists of two layers. The base layer is an aluminum foil which secures the shape of the foil. In case of fire the foil works as a shutter between the flames and gasses that may be generated from the building materials. The other layer is a technical intumescent layer of fire resistant coating. This layer is applied on one side of the aluminum base layer by roll transcribing. With great heat release this layer will form a thick charred foam and thus protect the materials inside from flames and high temperature.
