HCA WL-W

HCA WL-W is a waterborne, environment-friendly fire resistant coating which protects wood and wood products against fire. It complies with the Dutch National Standards, the European Standard 13501-1 and foreign comparable standards. HCA WL-W fire resistant coating is an intumescent coating that is specially developed for indoor wood applications. HCA WL-W fire resistant coating can be supplied together with other HCA quality products that comply with similar high standards.

PRODUCT INTRODUCTION

Intumescent coatings react under the influence of great heat release like fire. Because of the heat the coating expands many times the original layer thickness producing an insulating carbon char. The carbon char will protect the surface from the effects of fire.

Beside the fire resistant function, HCA intumescent coatings will provide a smooth, aesthetic satisfying finish, which is durable and easy to maintain. Wood and wood products will be fully protected against fire, with a system that has all the decorative properties of a conventional paint. The thin intumescent coating layer enables architects and designers to use the wood framework as an integral part of the overall design.

HCA WL-W fire resistant coating is a waterborne, ready-for-use intumescent coating developed for indoor applications and is applicable on location. It is easy to work with by means of airless spray, brush or roller. The standard white colour can be coloured with an universal pigment, to several colours. For an extra decorative appearance, as well as better protection against moisture and dirt, HCA WL-W fire resistant coating can be finished with HCA TOPCOAT.
